A sign pulled at my heartstrings.

At the time this picture was taken I had no vehicle, and no way of getting around except using my feet. This was six miles away from where I lived. It was quite the hike for me, but I enjoyed walking. I trained to walk ten miles a day so that I could raise money for children with cancer. That was shorter than anticipated because of a blood clot that moved to my heart, but I am so glad that I got to experience that. I walked 41 miles in 4 days and met a lot of wonderful people along the way. If God lays something on your heart, go for it. You are safer in the middle of God's will than you are anywhere else.

I used to do a lot of walking when I moved to this area. Every time I would go for a walk, I would look at this sign and say, "I have to stop here some time and check it out." It took a while but then a friend introduced me to the church and said that I would really like it there.  He said they had a new pastor, and you could feel the Spirit of God in the church when you walked in the door. The sign is fresh and new, but the message inside is awesome. When the message comes from God's Word, it is always awesome.
